Will old Berea School be saved by Meadow’s preposed resolution?

UPDATE! According to Council Meadows facebook page the resolution has been withdrawn. It is also withdrawn on the agenda. No other news is available at this time. THE OLD SCHOOL RESOLUTION FOR TONIGHT’S COUNCIL HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN Previous Post: This Tuesday Councilman Meadows will be presenting a resolution to Greenville County Council asking that $1,181,990 be removed from the budget that was set aside to go to the Greenville School District. BBA Board Elect Formation Canceled

Due to community concerns and unforeseen circumstances, the meeting and election for the formation of the Community/BBA (Better Berea Association) that was scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1830 (6:30 PM), at the Greenville Tech NW Campus has been cancelled. Minutes from Greenville County Council Meeting 03/16/15: Docket # CZ-2015-17 Property location 113 Hunts Bridge Rd. is currently zoned O-D (Office District).  Ramon Guerra requested to change zoning to C-3 (Commercial) for the purpose of opening a tire/automotive business. Five or 6 people spoke against this citing that Berea has many of these type businesses already. A petition with over 250 signatures was also submitted.
